Using your InsulVent

Opening the InsulVent Door: 

The door is intentionally hard to open.

· If the vent is not installed in the  foundation, hold the vent as shown with both thumbs on the large piece of foam. 

· Push hard. 

· If you find that it is way too difficult to open, once you have the door open, take an emory board and VERY lightly go over the bumps inside the frame - just one or two light strokes.  Then close the door and try opening it again.  Repeat if necessary.

· Once it is installed in the foundation it will open easier, so don’t make it too loose.

In the fall: 

· Open the InsulVent door. 

· Insert the block of insulation and close the door firmly, making sure it is completely latched.

In the spring: 

· Open the InsulVent door, remove the block of insulation and reclose the door firmly.

· Store the insulation block for use the following fall.

Replacing the screen: 

· Should the screen become damaged, just order a new one.

· Open the door and replace it.
